A forest is the people you bring to Tr33 through your link. Anyone can run one, free, under their own name. Rewards, check-in codes and redeem codes are built in if you want them. This page answers what most people ask before starting one. The rules are in the Partner Agreement.
What is a forest?
Your link, and the people who join through it. Anyone who signs up with your link belongs to your forest. They can also join one other forest.
What does it cost?
Nothing. Creating and running a forest is free, and there is no fee on anything your people do.
What do my people actually do?
They open your link, plant a tree and water it. That is it. Anything you choose to offer on top, a reward or a check-in, is yours to set and entirely optional.
How do people find my forest?
You get a link and a QR code the moment you create it, plus printable pages: a poster, a table tent, and a sheet with two codes on it, one to join and one to redeem.
What do I see about my people?
Their display name, when they joined, how many times they’ve watered or checked in, and what they have redeemed with you. Never their email address, and never anything they do in someone else’s forest.
Who can run a forest?
Anyone: a café, a creator, a club, a side hustle, or just you. You do not need a business, staff, a till or a card machine. Tr33 never connects to your systems.
Do I have to offer a reward?
No. A name is enough to go live. If you want to offer something, you write it in your own words and honor it yourself.
What can I offer?
Anything of your own: a free coffee, a discount, early access, a shoutout. Not cash, and not anything that works like cash. That limit is in the Partner Agreement.
How do check-ins work?
Optional. You publish a code wherever your real audience already is: a counter, a stream overlay, a newsletter, a package insert. Whoever enters it is counted as having visited, once per person per day. The code is proof of attention: a shop’s proves someone walked in, a streamer’s proves someone watched.
Can I ask for something before someone joins?
Optionally: an email, a short video, or a code, your choice of one. It never stops anyone from planting a tree with you; it only holds back your welcome reward until they finish it.
How does someone prove they earned your reward?
Three ways, and you choose per reward. They show you their screen. Or they show a one-time code you confirm. Or they scan your printed sheet, which proves they are actually there.
Do I need staff?
No. If you do have staff, you can give them a redeem-only link that lets them confirm codes without seeing the rest of your dashboard.
How long does setup take?
A few minutes. A name is enough to go live. Everything else, such as a logo, rewards, a check-in code or an onboarding step, can wait until you want it.
Can I change my name or link later?
Yes. If you change your link, the old one keeps working permanently, so anything you have already printed still scans.
Do I need to know anything about crypto?
No. The game has no crypto and no money in it. Trees, fruit and seeds are points, and they have no cash value.
What if I want to stop?
You can stop running it at any time: stop offering rewards, or close your account entirely. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel.
Someone says their reward was not honored
They can report it from their own app, and it arrives on your dashboard with the reward and the person named, so you can sort it out and mark it resolved. They are told when you do.
